May was a month of practicing intentional presence.

For me, that looked like putting my phone away when I was with friends and family (and also not taking a ton of pics) Moving my body based on what it needed that day instead of what I thought I “should” do. Saying “plot twist” every time life didn’t go according to plan.

It looked like releasing clients, and projects that no longer felt aligned and trusting that making space isn’t the same thing as losing something.

I’ve learned that presence isn’t passive. It requires effort. It requires choosing to be where your feet are instead of constantly living in the next week, month, or year.

As I look back on May, I’m grateful for the reminder that life isn’t happening somewhere down the road.

It’s happening right now ❤️

There’s a very specific kind of grief that comes with realizing your old life no longer fits you.

And once you truly see yourself differently, it becomes almost impossible to comfortably return to environments, relationships, routines, or identities that require a smaller version of you.

That’s the part nobody talks about with transformation.
The in-between.

The moment where your soul has already moved forward, but parts of your life haven’t caught up yet.

A lot of people mistake that discomfort for failure.
It’s usually growth.

When you know your values, your patterns, your strengths, your insecurities, your boundaries, your gifts, and even your shadows, people’s projections stop hitting as deeply.

That doesn’t mean criticism never hurts. It means it no longer controls your identity.

The goal is not to become untouchable.
The goal is to become undeniable to yourself.

WHY? ⬇️

Maybe you’re suddenly craving quiet after years of being social. Or you find yourself wanting to create something when you’ve always been analytical. Sometimes you feel called to speak up when you used to stay quiet, or you want to slow down when you’ve always been the go-getter.

The thing is, most of us get stuck trying to be the same person we were last year, or five years ago. Even when that version of ourselves doesn’t really fit who we’re becoming.

That’s when everything starts feeling... wrong somehow.
But you’re not being inconsistent. You’re just adapting to life as it happens, which is actually pretty healthy.

So how do you work with this instead of fighting it?

🖤Pay attention to what’s coming forward.
What feels natural? What are you drawn to? That’s your cue.

🖤Stop forcing it to look familiar.
It doesn’t need to match who you used to be to be valid.
Move with it while it’s there.

🖤Act on it before you overthink it. That’s how you build trust with yourself.

Look, you don’t have to be the same person forever. You just need to recognize when it’s time to evolve - and actually give yourself permission to do it.
